Draft CDBG PY2025 CAPER

The City of Kent has prepared its draft PY2025 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report. In order to encourage public review and comment of this document, the City is providing a 15-day public comment period beginning Wednesday October 7, 2026 and continuing through Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Copies of the report will be made available through the Kent Community Development Department in printed and electronic form. Please contact Kailyn Cyrus at 330-678-8108. The Community Development Department is located at 930 Overholt Road, Kent, Ohio and is open to the public between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m., excluding legal holidays.

City-wide Trick or Treat

The City-wide neighborhood Trick or Treat is scheduled for October 25, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Get your costumes and candy ready! Have fun and be safe. 

Lights Out For Wildlife

The City of Kent Lights Out for Wildlife event at Plum Creek Park on Friday, October 9th from 7pm-8:30pm (rain date will be Saturday, October 10th from 7pm-8:30pm). Get in touch with your dark side and take part in the activities. Visit the Sustainability Month page for more details.

Repurposing City Income Tax

Do you want more from the City of Kent for street repairs and safety services? Did you know you could have those benefits without a tax increase? Help us to repurpose our current income tax revenue. Kent City Council is asking for your vote to make the change happen. 

Public Safety Announcement
