Engineering

The Engineering Division is part of the Service Department and is responsible for planning and implementing the city's capital improvement projects. The Division also maintains the standards for infrastructure construction, infrastructure records, and provides engineering inspection services for all public and private construction within the City of Kent.  

The infrastructure projects are scheduled according to need, funding and priority. If grants are awarded, the grant funding is only permitted to be used for the project specified in the grant. To see a listing of Capital Improvement Projects City-wide, review the most recent 5-Year CIP update.
