Portage County Water Rescue Team
The Portage County Water Rescue Team aims to provide the safest and best water rescue service for the citizens of Portage County and surrounding areas. The PCWRT was founded in 2000 and is comprised of members of Portage County fire and police departments. The City of Kent Fire Department houses some of team's vehicle and equipment; Rescue 1 and Boats 1 and 2.
The PCWRT is able to show of their skills when there are:
- Flooded roads
- Flooded lakes and rivers
