The mission of the Kent Police Department is to serve and protect the persons and property in the City of Kent. We strive to create and promote partnerships with our community through education and collaboration. We apply the law consistently while professionally interacting with the public.

The members of the Kent Police Department will embrace the partnerships that make Kent unique, diverse and successful. We will provide a balance of enforcement, education and service for our community. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of training and education to become the premiere law enforcement agency in Portage County.
