Joining a Board or Commission

The City of Kent relies on volunteer boards and commissions as part of our governmental process. If you are interested in becoming a member of a Kent Board or Commission, please do one of the following:

Complete and submit the Online Boards & Commissions Application,
Print, complete and sign a Boards and Commissions Application and return to Amy Wilkens, Clerk of Council located at 301 S. Depeyster St. Kent, Ohio 44240.

Below is a complete listing of all boards and commissions in the city of Kent. Some of these boards are filled by citizens. Current board members and the date their term expires are also listed. Each board has a brief description, and the section of the Kent City Charter or Kent Codified Ordinance is listed for further information.

SECTION 8.01 APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS of the Kent City Charter: Except as otherwise provided by law, all appointments to City Boards and Commissions shall be electors of the City. This section does not apply to the Board of Building Appeals.
